Why Travel With Us?

Many tour guides have experience traveling to a country, but few have experience living in a country for an extended period of time. Your guide lived in Tanzania, among the Tanzanians, for three years while he and his wife worked to bring their adopted boys back to the United States. During that time, they learned to love the Tanzanian people, made many life-long friends and understood the daily life of the Tanzanian people.

While living in Tanzania, they lived in a house with a view of Kilimanjaro, took local transportation, attended celebrations and funerals, interacted with the local education system while their boys were in school in Tanzania, ate with their bajaji driver’s family during eid al fitr (end of Ramadan), and shopped at the local markets and stores.

Come, experience the Tanzania we’ve grown to love!

Longido

Destination Inspiration has partnered with Family Village Foundation to help the people of Longido. Longido is a district in the Arusha Region of Tanzania where the population is over 90% Maasai. The Maasai people of Longido, unlike other Maasai you will encounter on this safari, are not dependent on the tourist industry. Instead they live their lives much the same way their ancestors did thousands of years ago.

For information on how Family Village Foundation is helping the Maasai of Longido, and how you can assist them, please visit the Family Village Foundation website at the links below:
